Our body speaks to us but we tend to not listen to it.
or maybe,
we do not know how to listen to it
Our body gives us physical cues when there is something physically wrong in our body. Nail color changes, dry lips, stool sample, skin irritation and muscle twitch.
Our body also gives us mental cues, our underlying subconscious interacting with the conscious side of it in DREAMS. Most of the time, we forget the dreams we had the moment we wake up, even lucid dreams get blurry after some time. Dreams have hidden meanings that lead to us understanding ourselves but do we really want to understand oneself ? Life is not all sunshine and daisy, thoughts aren’t always positive, there are truths about ourselves that we will take to the grave, there are truths that we consider them fake but it comes up in dreams , it comes up when you are in a deep state of meditating , it comes up when you are tripping balls. It comes up when you, the observer notices that you are also being observed.
Soldiers experience shell shock after they witness war, High-achievers having imposter syndromes after their well-deserved accomplishments, survivors of sexual assault experiencing tactile defensiveness.
Our body is a sacred temple that we are used to ignoring.
The analogy of the cave by Plato can still be implemented with our current times, I believe that we humans still overestimate ourselves as we have evolved so much. The shadow show from plato’s cave turned to news media and then transformed to social media. We do not get swayed by simple incentives anymore but that is the fundamental question. Do you believe in something whole-heartedly because you were made to believe it or did that idea in your head form from all the indirect ques that happened for that opinion to form. Do you reflect on your thoughts and why they are formed? Take up the counter-argument and try to convince yourself otherwise. After everything is said and done, you might come up to the conclusion that “it is what it is”.
The devil is in the details but the angel resides in simplicity. Ignorance is bliss but knowledge is power. Half-knowledge is dangerous but none is detrimental.
“For the plot, for the plot” You are just making a shitty movie.
( shitty movie is better than an unreleased film)
Giving your body to vices, while the joy may last a good amount of time, it always catches up when the time comes. The body remembers what the mind forgets. The phase will wear off in a few years, the highs always come with the lows
Self-love and being morally right conquers all.
