The world painted and tainted by my perceptions

Cycle of Communism and Democracy

This is a dive into the perspective of an opposing view of communism. I am in no way undermining democracy, this is a sheer food for thought. I grew up in Myanmar, Burma so I know best the value of democracy and free speech after experiencing dictatorship.

Again, I would like to add that I support Democracy and not even remotely a fan of communism. I am clarifying this a lot as I don’t want any person or organization to brand me as such. Although it is funny that I have to exercise my freedom of speech by clarifying what I believe in first before making my point which may not be a conventional perspective.

Why to achieve the ideal communist system, you need a kind-hearted dictator.

Only a kind-hearted empathetic person can ensure that all resources produced in a country are evenly distributed to the general public without first going through the hand of militants and government officials. Real events throughout history shows that is almost impossible in all communist countries and even some democratic countries. Bringing back to the point, if a leader equally distributes resources to everyone in the country without getting a cut, some people may work less or not as efficient because they will get the same cut everyone does. Innovation lessens , etcetera etcetera. The fundamental spirit of humans demand the need to create, whether it be art or monetary money. Thus, there will be people who put in the work and provide aid for the country. The same kind leader will look into it, give them more privilege and an incentive to monopolize the market for them. This can lead to two scenarios. One leads to democracy and one stays idle.

Scenario 1 : The leader keeps giving specific people the privilege and subsidies in specific markets where the select individuals become monopolies in each of their industry and they do not intervene/compete with each other. The leader gets corrupted as he holds too much power. As long as the oligarchs do not threaten the power of the supreme leader, they can do as they wish.

Scenario 2 : The people who are working harder and contributing immensely to the country demands more rights to the leader. The leader agrees. Since they getting more rights because of what they have earned. People are getting paid because they earned it because of work that they put into it. You and the leader might think that it is only fair that the people who put in the work get more options and subsidies. Who know the best options and solutions ? The people, themselves. So, they vote. BOOM. The system turns democratic.

Lets see the possible aftermath of Scenario 2. Almost everyone now is striving for success. Capitalism working at its finest. People earning more are gaining power. They can influence the hierarchy and the policies. Layers like hedge-funds, corporations, lobbying , insider-trading may be inter-connected. No single entity holds the power but entities in the organization hold the power. The power of limited liability used to its maximum potential.

The funny thing about power is that once you gain it , you seldomly want to let it go and the thirst for more is inevitable. Even religious leaders who claim to be spiritual and proclaim that materialistic value should not be strived for. They do not relinquish their power and control so why do you think a rich politician might? Reminder: this is still a scenario. They now use that power to own or influence all the corporations and military power. They own media and influence the general public, pitting them against other nations, against other races and ethnicities, against other languages. If that is done , against each other as well over minor details as well. Divide can be created anywhere, even among the same family so guess how easy it is to create divide when you have differences. While we are busy arguing against each other. They have made deals which affects your life and mine. Who knows when they will stop ? A perfectly democratic system turns communist.

It

is

a

Cycle.

We are all pawns until we wake up

And who knows, how our perspective will change when we are revealed with how the world really works.

It is our responsibility to maintain liberty, equality, individual rights, and self-government. Do not take it for granted. Value and Cherish it.

There are only leaders in America, no Kings.
